Jack Reacher is back, and this time a seemingly ordinary subway encounter is about to turn into a nightmare.
Reacher Season 4 has officially arrived on Prime Video, with the first three episodes available to stream today, August 12. New episodes will follow weekly through September 16.
Alan Ritchson returns as the wandering former military police officer, but this season sends Reacher into a very different kind of mystery.
A Subway Encounter Starts Something Much Bigger
Season 4 is based on Lee Child’s 2010 novel Gone Tomorrow, the 13th book in the Jack Reacher series.
The story begins when Reacher encounters a distressed stranger on a subway in Philadelphia.
What looks like a random meeting quickly becomes something much more dangerous, pulling Reacher into a conspiracy involving powerful enemies and people who clearly don’t want him asking questions.
That’s classic Reacher territory.
He doesn’t go looking for trouble.
Trouble usually finds him.
And once Reacher realizes something is wrong, walking away isn’t really an option.
Alan Ritchson Is Back — With a Bigger Fight Ahead
Ritchson returns as Reacher alongside a new group of characters, including Sydelle Noel, Chris Marquette, Agnez Mo and Anggun.

The new season continues the formula that made the series such a reliable Prime Video hit: a straightforward mystery, increasingly dangerous enemies and plenty of opportunities for Reacher to solve problems with his fists when talking stops working.
But Season 4 also has something important going for it.
The series has already been renewed for Season 5, meaning viewers don’t have to worry that this is the end of Ritchson’s run as Reacher.
For fans, that’s good news.
For Reacher’s enemies, probably not.
How to Watch Reacher Season 4
The first three episodes of Reacher Season 4 are now streaming on Prime Video.
After the premiere, the remaining episodes will arrive weekly on Wednesdays, with the eight-episode season scheduled to conclude on September 16.
That release strategy gives fans an immediate three-episode binge before returning to the weekly format.
And if you’re completely new to the series, all three previous seasons are also available on Prime Video.
Season 4 is another adaptation from Lee Child’s novels, but you don’t necessarily need to have read Gone Tomorrow to jump into the story.
The important thing to know is simple: Jack Reacher sees something that doesn’t add up, and now someone wants him dead.
That’s probably all you need before pressing play.

The Bottom Line
Reacher Season 4 has arrived with a new mystery, a new location and plenty of trouble waiting for Jack Reacher.
The first three episodes are streaming now, making today a particularly good day for fans of the series.
And with Season 5 already confirmed, Reacher isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
